Vinnie Mitchell is a valued member of our new product development team for Mowi Scotland. With over 25 years of experience in the seafood industry and eight years at Mowi, Vinnie’s passion for salmon and creating new and delicious ways for customers to enjoy it remains as strong as ever. 

Our product development teams are setting new standards when it comes to seafood. With fifty specialists worldwide dedicated to new product development, we’re constantly working on hundreds of new ideas to help us stay ahead of trends.

Based at our Rosyth site, Vinnie is a New Product Development Process Manager who works closely with our Chef to develop innovative product ideas. Vinnie thrives in this dynamic role that offers variety and collaboration, and working alongside a diverse team, he’s constantly inspired to innovate and explore new ideas.

Creativity and innovation are woven into every step of the Mowi value chain, especially within our product teams, who work tirelessly to ensure our products are market-ready to the highest standard for our customers. Like everyone at Mowi, Vinnie is passionate about Mowi salmon. After all these years, he still feels immense pride whenever he sees his products on store shelves.

“From 25 years ago seeing my first product in the supermarket to then going in now and seeing my Mowi products, I’m proud of every single one of my products that make it to the shelf.”

From a young age, Vinnie knew he wanted to work in the food industry, starting his career as a Chef. He wasn’t initially aware of the opportunities available within product development but now encourages others with a passion for food to explore a rewarding career at Mowi.

“I would absolutely recommend a career at Mowi because Mowi is the biggest salmon producer in the world. There’s so many opportunities for roles here.”
