Hervé Migaud joins Mowi Scotland as Fish Health, Welfare & Biology Director
Mowi Scotland is pleased to announce that Hervé Migaud is joining the company as Fish Health, Welfare & Biology Director.
Hervé’s previous post was Professor and Head of the Production Research Group at the Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling. He brings with him over 20 years of experience and applied expertise working in collaboration with world-leading industry partners on fish breeding, physiology, farming systems and technology, husbandry manipulations (environmental, dietary, genetic, systems), health, stress and welfare and domestication of new species.
In the last decade, Hervé has co-authored 157 peer-reviewed publications to date, many relevant to the Atlantic salmon sector, with focus on breeding and genetics, health, welfare and nutrition.
Reporting to Ben Hadfield, COO Farming Scotland, Ireland & The Faroes, Hervé will lead the company’s fish health and biology team in Scotland that helps care for its Atlantic salmon, ballan wrasse and lumpfish, and will sit as a member of Mowi Scotland’s Senior Management Team.
