And that’s a wrap (no, it’s a fillet burger)!

The Mowi Salmon Wagon has completed its summer schedule with its last event of the year raising £1,000 for mental health charity Mikeysline, at the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup final, which took place in Fort William on Saturday 21st September.
The Mowi Salmon Wagon not only serves gourmet salmon dishes but also makes a positive impact in our local communities. It has now raised over £20,000 for dozens of communities across Scotland.
Not only does having the Mowi Salmon Wagon at community events raise money for fantastic causes, but it also gives a real boost to everyone involved.
Here is just some of the positive feedback we have received this summer:
Elizabeth Fisher, The West Ardnamurchan Regatta:
“We were so grateful for all of the hard work put in by the Salmon Wagon team. The food was delicious and we had a lot of positive feedback. It was a wonderful addition to the regatta and the funds raised that day will really help us continue to run this event in the years to come.”

Phoebe Haigh, Small Isles Games, supporting The Isle of Muck Community:
“It was great to have the support of the Mowi Salmon Wagon at our Small Isles Games. Mowi plays a huge part in our community, we really appreciate all they do here. The Salmon Wagon raised funds for projects in our fragile community and it was great to showcase local food.”

Pat Grieve, the Glenfinnan Gathering:
“The Mowi Salmon Wagon rolled into Glenfinnan for the Glenfinnan Gathering 2024, offering healthy dishes; salmon fillet in a bun and a salmon noodle salad. Delicious smells wafted across the Games Field creating a queue, until all the salmon had been sold. The Mowi Salmon Wagon raised £900 for the Glenfinnan Games. All the donations go towards funding the 2025 Games. Thank you so much to Mowi for supporting us.”

Mowi’s community engagement officer, Jayne Mackay added:
“In its third summer on the road, we are delighted that the Salmon Wagon has once again raised a significant amount for many worthy causes. Having attended the events, which ranged from community galas and regattas, to Highland games and shinty matches, we are lucky enough to have met first-hand the charities and communities that will benefit from the funds raised.
“It was a privilege to spend time at these important social occasions and get an opportunity to meet those who also live and work in the areas Mowi has a presence. Supporting the local groups that host Mowi is an important element of its commitment to helping local communities to thrive.
“We can’t wait to learn more about some of the fantastic events scheduled for next summer as we seek applications for 2025 and make the difficult decision of which ones to support.”

Mowi Scotland is now inviting communities and local organisations that would like the fundraising Salmon Wagon to attend their event in 2025 to apply online until the end of December 2024. Events which have been previously unsuccessful in their applications are welcome to apply again. Mowi’s panel will meet in January, with successful applicants announced in February 2025.
