Welcome to Inchmore Visitor Experience

The official opening of Mowi’s Inchmore Visitor Experience took place on Friday 11th April, with Mowi colleagues, stakeholders and neighbours being invited along to have a look around.
The visitor experience will enable a range of stakeholders, from local schools and community groups to politicians and customers, to learn more about Mowi and the aquaculture industry when they visit the site. It has been designed to showcase the entire Mowi value chain while highlighting the exciting career opportunities available, important environmental commitments, and Mowi’s impact on local communities across Scotland.
Now, those visiting the Inchmore Hatchery will be able to learn all about aquaculture through bold static graphics, unique sensory displays and interactive digital touchscreens featuring a series of short films that delve deeper into the Mowi story.

Speaking about the opening of the Visitor Experience, Matt Paget, Manager at Inchmore Hatchery, said: “It is fantastic to have the Inchmore Visitor Experience up and running, ready to welcome stakeholders to learn all about aquaculture and what we do at Mowi.
“Being a relatively new farming industry, not many people know what goes into raising healthy salmon so our new visitor experience will help bridge the gap and give people an insight into the entire process, from farm to fork.
“We’re really proud of what we do at Mowi and we hope the Inchmore Visitor Experience will show the good work we do to produce a healthy and sustainable product here in Scotland to feed people around the country and across the globe.”

After learning all about Mowi’s value chain, those attending the official opening were able to end their visit by enjoying some freshly cooked salmon from the Salmon Wagon.
