How personal data is collected
Personal data may be freely provided by the data subject upon visitation to our website or registration to receive newsletters, by contacting Mowi ASA through our online forms or by using the contact information provided on our website. Mowi may also collect information about our shareholders using external third parties, e.g. custodian banks.

Legal basis and the purpose of our processing of personal data
Your personal data will solely be collected and processed for the purposes addressed in this privacy policy and Mowi will not further process your personal data in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes.

Online forms
Our online forms will be sent directly to Mowi’s independent third-party provider. These online forms may be submitted anonymously or accompanied with your name, e-mail address and phone number. We sincerely ask that you confine the provided information to what is necessary for us to address your inquiry and undertake appropriate actions. Direct inquiries
Inquiries addressed to the provided contact information on our website or within this privacy notice will result in Mowi processing your contact information and any other information provided by you. Newsletters
Mowi will solely send newsletters to our verified newsletter recipients. Upon registration, you consent to Mowi processing your contact information as a necessary means to send you newsletters. Thus, the accompanying processing of your personal data will be based on your freely given consent pursuant to GDPR article 6 no. 1 letter a). You may at any time revoke your consent either by using the contact information provided below, or by following the hyperlink in the newsletters in order to unsubscribe our newsletter. If you at any time choose to withdraw your consent, all processing of your personal data conducted on the basis of the withdrawn consent, shall cease without undue delay.
Shareholders
Mowi may collect the name and address of shareholders holding more than 10 000 shares, as well as the number of shares held, to ensure a proper follow up of our investors and to share relevant information about the corporation. The processing includes enlisting the shareholders in an overview used by Mowi to maintain healthy investor relations. Information regarding shareholders holding less than 10 000 shares, will solely be included in an aggregated matter for the purpose of mapping out custodian banks holding shares for shareholders below the set threshold. Thus, the information will be anonymized. The legal basis for processing personal data about our shareholders is the legitimate interests pursued by Mowi according to GDPR article 6 no. 1 letter f), see also section 4-10 of the Norwegian PLC Act. Processing of personal data relating to Mowi’s shareholders will not exceed 5 years and otherwise be restricted to what is necessary to fulfill the initial purpose for which the personal data was collected.
In order to conduct a proper follow up of Mowi’s shareholders, holding more than 10 000 shares, Mowi has engaged NASDAQ OMX Corporate Solutions International Limited (“Nasdaq”) to provide share register analysis services. As a result of Nasdaq being registered in the UK, this will include transfers of personal data to a third country outside the EU/EEA. However, such transfers are governed by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and relevant supporting documents ensuring an adequate level of security and clear distribution of responsibility. The EU Commission has also adopted an adequacy decision for the UK, meaning that personal data transferred to the UK benefits from an essentially equivalent level of protection to that guaranteed under EU law.
Matomo Analytics
We use Matomo Analytics on our website, which is an open source web analytics platform used to measure, analyse and report traffic on our website. The purpose of using this technology is to better understand the user traffic and optimize the website. As such, we use Matomo to identify areas of improvement and potential pitfalls such as page not found, search engine indexing issues and which contents are the most appreciated. Once the data has been processed, Matomo generates reports for us to take action, e.g. changing the layout of the pages, publishing fresh content and similar.
In order to obtain the above-mentioned purpose, we may place cookies on your chosen device and process additional personal data, compared to those mentioned above. This may include:

All processing of personal data in this regard, will be based on your explicit consent pursuant to GDPR article 6 no. 1 letter a), meaning that we will not process your personal data with Matomo unless you have given us a clear and explicit consent.

All personal data processed in this regard will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary, and all visits and actions raw data are deleted after 24 months and 14 days. However, whereas aggregated reports do not entail identifying information, those reports will not be deleted.
If you wish to revoke your consent, you can opt-out at any time. There will be no consequences at all regarding the use of our website.
Disclosure of personal data and data processors
Mowi takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access to your personal data as well as to avoid unwarranted disclosure, modification and/or unauthorized destruction of such data.
