We select the strongest, healthiest and tastiest from each generation to create the world’s best breeding stock. Since the beginning of Mowi in 1964, we have been working with the same strain of salmon and we are committed to protecting and developing our unique breed. We have our own breeding and genetics department where we produce our own eggs to ensure the selection of the best genetics. We keep our own brood stock and invest considerable efforts and resources to improve performance, disease resistance, welfare and quality of the fish.
