New name – new website
We have changed our name from Marine Harvest to Mowi, and on that note we have also created a brand-new company website.
On January 1st this year we officially became Mowi. Our new company name is deep-rooted in our history. The company was originally founded as Mowi by Norwegian aquaculture pioneers more than 50 years ago.
Mowi is an inspirational name alluding to our pioneering spirit we have developed over the past 50 years. Since our first salmon was farmed in 1964, Mowi has grown into a global fully integrated company, encompassing breeding, feed, farming, processing and sales. Throughout the past 50 years, we have always remained true to our core value – the care we have for our people, our fish, our customers and the environment.
With our new website we aim to be even more transparent than in the past. We are entering an era where we will focus even more on increased value creation for our consumers and shareholders. We will use this platform to spread knowledge about our company and the salmon category.
